American Protest Art: Control Choices Contrived Comments

Illustration and color-way series based on abortion laws being granted to states after federal protections were dissolved. Represents the commentary and opinions that ensued regarding human health, choice and control. The piece is sympathetic to the woman, visualizing the sheer amount of bombardment and decisions that are made on a woman’s behalf. When so many hands and comments find themselves in one place the figure becomes uncomfortable, static, depersonalized and open to scrutiny. When this becomes the subject’s atmosphere, their ambiance becomes their inner reflection.
