Holiday Wrapping Paper Vector Pattern

The project brief was to create a holiday wrapping paper with a repeat pattern. Inspired by the squared drop repeat, I created a custom repeat by fusing the pattern in an unexpected way so the repetition throughout the design was seamless and invisible. This is how the project started, creating the pattern’s repeat first which in turn created a pattern within itself I can repeat. Color was inspired by the holiday staple, Rudolf & The Island Of Misfit Toys as it relates to its setting. The overall concept was based on ribbons and striped boxes which were dissected and abstracted.
